Leave balances & holidays

Company leave types land automatically when you set your company and joining date; balances credit each period, carry forward or expire at year end, and your own leaves merge into them.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

In Profile, set your company name and joining date, then save.

  2. 2

Open Settings → Time Off — company leave types appear with balances credited for every period since you joined (weekly, monthly or yearly) and the date of your next credit.

  3. 3

If you joined mid-year and already used some leave, tap a leave type and adjust only the balance number.

  4. 4

Kept your own leave types before your company set them up? Tap Merge on the custom leave, pick the company type it should roll into, and choose whether your balance replaces, adds to, or keeps the company’s allocation. Only leaves in the same unit (days with days, hours with hours) can be merged.

  5. 5

Mark leave days on Attendance to deduct from the matching balance automatically.

  6. 6

Import your company’s holiday list when available, and check the dashboard’s upcoming-holidays card for long weekends.

Good to know

  • Credit frequency and amount come from your company policy — only the balance is yours to tweak.

  • Your company is recognised even when the name is spelled a little differently (for example “Infosys Limited” vs “Infosys Ltd”), and switching companies refreshes the list automatically.

  • Merging can also move your own credit settings onto the company type for your account only; colleagues and the company policy are never changed, and “Use company rules” hands them back whenever you like.

  • Unused leave carries forward into the next year when your company allows it (sometimes up to a limit) — otherwise it expires every January 1. A maximum balance caps how much you can hold.

  • You can still add custom leave types for anything not covered by company policy.

  • Company holidays are shared centrally — if you don’t see them, check with your team.
